A. Analysis of blood and urine constituents

a) Study of renal function (blood urea and creatinine, proteinuea, glucosuria…)
b) Study of liver function (ALT, AST, GGT, PAL…)
c) Study of carbohydrate metabolism (glucose, glycated hemoglobin), lipids (total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, triglycerides …), and iron (serum iron, serum ferritin ….)
d) Search of cardiac markers such as troponin,
e) The endocrinology covers the determination of certain hormones for diagnostic exploration of a possible endocrine dysfunction or therapeutic drug monitoring (thyroid hormones: TSH, T3, T4), sexual hormones (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone …) and βhCG.

B. Study of semen analysis in the context of male infertility.


Serology permits to detect the quantify antibodies and possibly the specific antigens of microorganisms responsible for infectious diseases.
Serology, we perform
– The diagnosis of viral infections (HIV, viral hepatitis A, B, C, and D, …), bacterial infections (syphilis, ASLO, typhoid fever, …) parasitic infections (amoebiasis, toxoplasmosis)
– Monitoring or determination of vaccine protection (hepatitis B)
– Serological monitoring of pregnant women (CMV, toxoplasmosis, rubella)

Our laboratory disposes of the performance equipments permitted to:
• Perform the count of blood cells (blood count).
• Explore the physiological mechanisms of haemostasis for the diagnosis of coagulation diseases or monitoring of anticoagulant therapy (PT, INR, aPTT, dosage of coagulation factors …).
• Diagnose hemoglobinopathies, testing the hemoglobin electrophoresis, we are the only one laboratory performing in routine activity in Cambodia.

Blood groups (ABO, rhesus) is performed manually according to the law (two different reagent lots, two technicians).

Grouped under the term of microbiology, these three disciplines aim to identify bacteria, parasites (intestinal or bloodstream) or fungal agents, sources of infection in humans.
The finding of bacteria, fungi and parasites is an essential step in the diagnosis of infections and their treatment.
The microbiological examination requires a sample from the body. There may be blood, pus, sputum, excrement, urine, various effusions etc.
The samples thus obtained were first examined using a microscope, then stained and cultured.
Isolation and identification are followed by the antibiotic susceptibility testing to offer physicians the choice of the most appropriate antibiotics to best treat the infection.


We perform the screening and the counseling therapeutic by the study of susceptibility (culture and molecular biology) of tuberculosis as TB screening of atypical mycobacteria which do not belong to Tuberculosis Complex.

6. Molecular Biology

Through molecular biology techniques, we screen HIV infections due to hepatitis B and C in adults and children. We track treatment of these diseases by quantifying viral load.
