TB-speed is aiming to reduce tuberculosis mortality in children through research on diagnosis
“The diagnosis of childhood tuberculosis (TB) is challenging and constitutes the main barrier to access to treatment and main gap to reduce mortality due to this disease in children.
Contribution of research to reduction of childhood mortality due to tuberculosis is presented through a brief review of the results of the AN…RS 12229 PAANTHER 01 study, which was implemented in HIV-infected children in Cambodia from 2011 to 2014, and a presentation of the objectives and design of the TB-Speed project, which will be implemented in Cambodia from 2017 to 2021 in the general pediatric population as well as children with severe pneumonia, severe acute malnutrition, and HIV-infection”
