    Abstract:

Japanese encephalitis is the main cause of human encephalitis in Asia. The epidemiological cycle of this vector born zoonosis is still to be understood as domestic birds have recently been shown to be exposed to the virus and capable to re-infect mosquitoes. We will try to precise the diffusion mechanism of JEV in Cambodia by including the domestic birds’ compartment to an existing circulation model. The second part of the PhD is aimed to adapt this model to La Réunion Island context, where JEV is likely to be introduced, in order to communicate on adequate control measures.
