Nov 7th : Scientific Seminar 02:00 PM : ”The role of the circadian transcription factor KLF10 in liver homeostasis”

Title: “The role of the circadian transcription factor KLF10 in liver homeostasis”

Speaker: Anthony Ruberto, Postdoctoral fellow, Malaria: Parasites & Hosts Unit, Institut Pasteur

    Abstract:

In the liver, Kruppel-like factor 10 is a link between the circadian clock and metabolic processes. Here, we use a hepatocyte-specific knockout of KLF10 in mice to show that KLF10 is an important regulator of liver physiology over the 24h day. Likewise, we show that loss of KLF10, alters glucose homeostasis in hepatocytes in response to a high carbohydrate challenge.
