Title: “Using NGS to determine unknown subtypes in AIV samples taken from Cambodian Live Bird Markets”
Speaker: YANN Sokhoun, a research laboratory technician.
MinION nanopore is the smallest sequencer currently available, it was developed by Oxford Nanopore Technologies. We are interested in implementing MinION sequencing in Cambodia as it allows us to sequence samples directly from RNA and can produce full viral genomic sequences quicker than alternative methods. This presentation will discuss the implementation of MinION in Cambodia to subtype avian influenza viruses detected at Cambodian live bird markets.
