Tineke Cantaert, PhD, Group Leader

Dr. Cantaert obtained her PhD from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands and received a Eular Young Investigator Award to honor her research in the field of rheumatology. She received a Rubicon postdoctoral fellowship from the Dutch Research Organization funding her postdoctoral research at Yale University, USA, from 2011-2013. Pre-and postdoctoral training focused on unraveling the causes of a deregulated B cell response in human pathology. Early 2015, she received highly competitive startup funding from the Institut Pasteur International Network to establish her own research group at Institut Pasteur Cambodia, where she employs her knowledge on basic B cell biology to contribute to the paramount investigation of adaptive immune responses in flavivirus infection. She is currently a HHMI/Wellcome International Research Scholar.

 

Sivlin Ung, MSc

Sivlin Ung works at the Immunology group as research technician since its foundation in 2015. She received her Master in Biotechnology from the King Mongkut’s University of Technology in Bangkok, Thailand and a bachelor of Science in Biology from the Royal University of Phnom Penh. She attended the Immunology Summer school from the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands in 2016 and the advanced lecture course of UNESCO Biotechnology School in Asia in Osaka, Japan in 2013.

 

Vinit Upasani, MSc

Vinit Upasani obtained his Master of Science in Virology at the National Institute of Virology in Pune, India. After that, he spent one year at the University of Groningen as Intern student. He started his PhD at Institut Pasteur Cambodia in 2017 with a Calmette-Yersin grant from the Institut Pasteur International Network. He is enrolled at the University of Groningen
