Tineke Cantaert, PhD, Group Leader

Dr. Cantaert obtained her PhD from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands and received a Eular Young Investigator Award to honor her research in the field of rheumatology. She received a Rubicon postdoctoral fellowship from the Dutch Research Organization funding her postdoctoral research at Yale University, USA, from 2011-2013. Pre-and postdoctoral training focused on unraveling the causes of a deregulated B cell response in human pathology. Early 2015, she received highly competitive startup funding from the Institut Pasteur International Network to establish her own research group at Institut Pasteur Cambodia, where she employs her knowledge on basic B cell biology to contribute to the paramount investigation of adaptive immune responses in flavivirus infection. She is currently a HHMI/Wellcome International Research Scholar.
