Regional workshop on “Metagenomic Sequencing of Respiratory Viruses” at Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore
From May 15th to 21st, the Virology Unit of Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC), in collaboration with the Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence Applications (BAIA) Unit, co-led a regional workshop on “Metagenomic Sequencing of Respiratory Viruses” at Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore. Conducted in collaboration with the Asia Pathogen Genomics Initiative (Asia PGI) and the Programme for Research in Epidemic Preparedness and Response (PREPARE), the workshop is part of the broader RESPIRO project. The training focused on enhancing regional capacity in metagenomics for the early detection and genomic surveillance of respiratory infections. This collaborative effort represents a key step in strengthening Asia’s preparedness against future infectious disease threats.
