Nurse for Rabies Prevention Center

The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is looking for a qualified Nurse to work as a full-time staff at the Rabies Prevention Center based in Phnom Penh. The initial contract is offered for 12 months contract (renewable), as staff of the Vaccination Service.

 

Recruitment conditions:

  • Based in Phnom Penh
  • Cambodian nationality
  • Language/skill required: English and/or French in addition to Khmer
  • Starting Date: 1st July 2024

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the activities of the Rabies Prevention Center according to the standard operating procedures under the supervision of the medical supervisor of the Rabies Prevention Center
  • Performing vaccination to clients
  • Providing basic wound care related to animal bite
  • Assisting medical doctors in different activities of the Rabies Prevention Center
  • Managing the cold chain for the storage of vaccines and immunoglobulins
  • Managing stock inventory including vaccines and daily usage products
  • Managing animal specimens (specimen reception, shipment)
  • Supporting MD to generate monthly activity reports
  • Ensuring the necessary opening of the center during certain public holidays for the benefit of patients
  • Respecting IPC internal rules

Candidate Profile:

  • Experienced in performing vaccination
  • Willing to work in immunization practice
  • Good at customer service
  • High spirit of ethics responsibility
  • Good teamworks
  • Meticulous, autonomous
  • Proficiency in Khmer, English and/or French
  • Newly graduated are also encouraged to apply
  • Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Power Point.
