As part of the Veterinary Entomology in Cambodia (VECAM) project, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) provided laboratory equipment and materials to the parasitology section and the faculty of veterinary medicine of GDAHP/NAHPRI and RUA, respectively. The aim was to enhance their entomological surveillance capabilities by providing essential tools such as microscopes, centrifuges, and laboratory freezers. The donation of equipment combined with entomology training sessions is a crucial step towards capacity building and strengthening monitoring and surveillance efforts.

By collaborating with the local government and universities, the Institute hopes to improve public health outcomes and contribute to a better health system for Cambodia
