From June 4th to 6th, 2025, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) had the honor of welcoming a delegation from the International Affairs Department of the Institut Pasteur in Paris (IPP), including Mrs. Odette TOMESCU-HATTOo, Executive Vice-President, Mr. Guillaume DAUFRESNE, Deputy Head, and Mrs. Magali LAGO, Senior Project Manager.

During their visit, Mrs. TOMESCU-HATTO Mr. DAUFRENNE, accompanied by the Director, Prof André SPIEGEL and Deputy Director of IPC, Dr LY Sowath, met with several high-level stakeholders:

• E. Prof. CHHEANG Ra, Minister of Health
• E. Jacques PELET, French Ambassador to Cambodia
• E. Prof. SAPHOON Vonthanak, Rector of the University of Health Sciences
• Thomas GONNET, representative of the Agence Française de Développement (AFD)

The delegation also toured IPC’s laboratories and research units and held in-depth discussions with staff representatives. Their visit concluded with participation in the Liaison Council meeting on Friday afternoon.

This mission marked Mrs. Tomescu-Hatto’s first visit to Cambodia and provided a valuable opportunity to deepen her understanding of IPC’s work and explore avenues for strengthening collaboration between IPP and IPC.
