From May 19 to 21, 2025, the Epidemiology and Public Health Unit at Institut Pasteur du Cambodge organized its second “Introduction to Statistics with R” training session. This short-format course, led by Ms. Andréa Antoniolli and Dr. Cécile Sommen, combined theoretical modules on core statistical concepts with hands-on practical sessions on data management and statistical analysis using R software.

The training was primarily designed for scientists from IPC units and laboratories who need to analyze their research data as part of their work.

It followed a first extended five-day version held in November 2024, which included additional modules on statistical regression models. In total 17 persons take part of the training.

More training sessions will be planned for the second half of the year, with the possibility of opening them to IPC’s external partners.
