On 31st July 2025, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) welcomed a Japanese delegation led by Dr. Naomi Seki Fujishima, Director of the Department of Preparedness and Response. This visit, coordinated by the Japanese Embassy in Cambodia, was part of the delegation’s mission to Cambodia to understand the situation of avian influenza (A/H5N1) virus and its circulation in the country.

During the meeting, the delegation received general information about IPC presented by Dr Sowath Ly, Deputy Director of IPC, as well as information on research and surveillance conducted at IPC on A(H5N1), shared by Dr. Janin Nouhin, Deputy Head of the Virology Unit.
