Successful training program on the use, maintenance, verification, and calibration of analytical balances delivered to the Laboratory of Mines, Energy, and Petroleum (Ministry of Mine, Energy and Petroleum)

From May 6th to 8th, Institut Pasteur du Cambodge successfully delivered a 3-day training program on the use, maintenance, verification, and calibration of analytical balances to 8 participants from the Laboratory of Mines, Energy, and Petroleum.

The training was led by two experienced trainers, Mr. LIM Hokkean and Mr. LAY Larama, both with more than 15 years of experience in calibration and working within an ISO 17025-accredited calibration laboratory. This program was designed to strengthen participants’ technical knowledge and practical skills in ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance in laboratory operations. Through both theoretical and hands-on sessions, participants gained a deeper understanding of analytical balance management and calibration procedures aligned with quality standards. The program officially commenced with an opening speech delivered by the Director of IPC, Prof. André SPIEGEL, who warmly welcomed all participants and emphasized the importance of continuous capacity building in the field of calibration and laboratory quality assurance. At the end of the training, certificates were awarded to all participants during a closing ceremony led by the Director of IPC, in recognition of their active participation and successful completion of the program.

We sincerely thank all participants, trainers, and organizers for their valuable contributions to the success of this training program.
