On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) was delighted to welcome a delegation from the Ministry of Health (MoH) led by H.E. Dr. LY Sovann, Director of the CDC-MoH, and H.E Ass. Prof. HOUNG Sreipisei, Deputy Director of the NIPH.

The focus of the visit was a comprehensive tour of our Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratory of IPC. The delegation had the opportunity to observe the facility’s operations and stringent safety measures. This provided a deep understanding of the essential protocols required for high-containment laboratory operations and IPCβs contribution to national biological risk management. The visit also highlighted the lab’s mission in supporting national disease preparedness and the protection of workers, the community, and the environment.

This successful visit marks an important step in strengthening the strategic partnership between IPC and the MoH in safeguarding public health and biosecurity in Cambodia.
