Longitudinal Wildlife Health Field Mission in Steung Treng Province

From 9 to 15 December 2025, our team conducted a longitudinal wildlife health field mission in Thala Barivat District, Steung Treng Province, supported by the University of Tokyo (G2P-Asia Project, Prof. Kei Sato). The work focused on bat capture and biological sampling at three forest sites within a 15 km radius to strengthen wildlife health surveillance.

The mission involved eight multidisciplinary participants and was implemented with IPC logistical support, community rangers, local security, and full BCOMING project approvals, in close collaboration with local communities, contributing to One Health research and wildlife surveillance in Cambodia’s forest ecosystems.
