The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 300 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 10 nationalities and includes 6 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training.
The lnstitut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is recruiting a full-time Laboratory Technician within the Laboratory of Environment and Food Safety, based in Phnom Penh. The 12-month contract is initially offered (renewable).

Position Overview:
The Laboratory Technician in the Laboratory of Environment and Food Safety at the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of food and water microbiological testing. This position supports IPC’s mission to enhance public health through rigorous research, quality testing, and adherence to international standards.
The technician will work collaboratively with a dynamic, multicultural team, contributing to quality control, data management, and laboratory practices aligned with ISO 17025. This role offers an opportunity to grow professionally while supporting critical initiatives that impact public health in Cambodia.
Recruitment conditions:
- Language: English or French
- Position: Full-time.
- Contract: The initial contract is offered for 1 year (renewable).

Main Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of the laboratory technician is to perform the tasks as below.
- Food and water chemical testing
- Culture media production
- Edition and archiving results
- Performance internal and external quality control
- Participation in quality document preparation
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Good knowledges in microbiology for food and water
- Mastering of good laboratory practices
- Mastering internet and computer skills
- Experience with ISO17025 is plus
- Rigorous, sense of responsibilities
- Dynamic character, eager to learn, sociable and enthusiastic
