We were delighted to welcome Mme. Marie BUSCAIL, First Advisor at the French Embassy, for an official visit to the Battambang Rabies Prevention Center on 07 November 2025.
Mme. BUSCAIL was accompanied by Mr. Alexis CHAPENET, Director of the Institut Français du Cambodge in Battambang. The visit began at 12:00 PM with a warm introduction by Dr. LYM Senghong, Medical Supervisor of the Center, who presented IPC’s mission in Battambang — supporting the Ministry of Health in providing rabies post-exposure prophylaxis and contributing to Cambodia’s goal of eliminating rabies by 2030. In 2024, the Center treated over 14,700 individuals potentially exposed to rabies, underscoring its crucial role in protecting public health in the region.
During the visit, Mme. BUSCAIL had engaging discussions with our dedicated team about the Center’s operations, daily workflows, and close collaboration with the Battambang Provincial Health Department.
