VIRAGE Creative Production in Progress
Filming took place last week as part of the VIRAGE study program’s community engagement activities.
Rabies remains one of the deadliest yet preventable diseases in Cambodia. Through creative storytelling, we aim to help communities, especially children and young people, better understand how to protect themselves. By combining creative production such as theatre and short fiction film with accurate public-health messaging, we seek to make prevention messages more accessible, emotional, and memorable.
The shoot at IPC’s Rabies Prevention Center of the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge ensured that the health information portrayed reflects real clinical practice. While the story is fictional, the prevention messages are grounded in science and aligned with national rabies-control efforts.
These productions are part of the VIRAGE study, supported by the Fonds Équipe France (FEF) of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the French Embassy in Cambodia.
Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes moments as we continue bringing these awareness tools to life.
