Celebrating International Women's Day at IPC
International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on 8 March, commemorating women’s fight for equality and liberation along with the women’s rights movement. The IWD gives focus to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women.
On this 8th in on Sunday this year, we pay tribute to all women who, every day, advance health, science, and society.
At the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge, women are at the heart of our mission: protecting the population through research, public health action, training and health services.
Researchers, engineers, technicians, clinicians, students, administrative and support teams—your commitment, rigour, and team spirit strengthen IPC and the impact of our work in service of Cambodia.
This day is also a reminder: equality is not declared—it is built through concrete decisions, a safe working environment, and fair opportunities.
At IPC, we are taking action:
a clear policy to prevent and address harassment,
prevention initiatives, including breast cancer screening,
a new breastfeeding room, inaugurated on Monday 9 March, will be made available to help mothers better balance professional and family life
We recognize the need to continue promoting, year after year, further respect, inclusion, recognition of talent, and women’s access to leadership roles.
Thank you to all the women of IPC for your essential contribution to our missions.
Together, let us continue our efforts for an exemplary institute and a more inclusive society.
