IPC participated to One Health Satellite Event in Cambodia

As part of the One Health Festival 2026 and ahead of the global Summit in Lyon on April 7, Cambodia hosted a satellite event contributing to a worldwide movement of over 150 initiatives.

While the global summit focuses on international policy, this satellite event in Cambodia aims to translate global goals into localized actions and promotions, focusing on the country’s health, environmental, and agricultural landscape, and to show the integrative approach in development in Cambodia. Presided over by the Minister of Health, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Minister of Environment, and the French Ambassador, the event gathered national and international stakeholders around key priorities including zoonotic and vector-borne diseases, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and sustainable food and production systems.

Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) was strongly represented, with the Director and 14 colleagues contributing across units. Scientific presentations were made by Drs Erik KARLSSON, LY Sowath, and CHENG Sokleaph. Drs Erik KARLSSON, LY Sowath and Tephanie SIENG participated aas panelists and Dr Claude FLAMNAD moderated the session on zoonoses and vector-borne diseases.
