IPC welcomed students from Enfants du Mékong
On Friday, 12 June, Institut Pasteur du Cambodge welcomed 11 students from Enfants du Mékong for an introductory visit to the Institute.
The visit began with a presentation of IPC in Khmer by Dr. Ly Sowath, Deputy Director of IPC, who introduced the Institute’s missions, activities, and role in public health and scientific research in Cambodia.
The students then visited several key units and services, including the Rabies Prevention Sector, the International Vaccination Center, the Medical Biology Laboratory, the Virology Unit, and the Entomology Unit. This gave them the opportunity to better understand IPC’s work in prevention, diagnostics, research, and disease surveillance.
This visit was part of the recent partnership between Institut Pasteur du Cambodge and Enfants du Mékong, aiming to raise awareness among young Cambodian students about science, health, and public health challenges in Cambodia.
