Strengthening Community Health Through Food and Water Safety Education

On June 8th, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge, in partnership with Enfants du Mékong, organized a community health education session for vulnerable families in Phnom Penh.

Dr. Navin Sreng, Head of the Laboratory of Environment and Food Safety (LEFS), shared practical, easy-to-apply advice on reducing health risks linked to food and water contamination, covering topics such as food safety, water purification, hygiene, safe food storage, and everyday disease prevention.

By promoting simple, evidence-based practices, these initiatives help strengthen community resilience and protect the health of vulnerable populations.

We sincerely thank Dr. Navin Sreng, for leading this session, as well as Enfants du Mékong for its valuable partnership and continued commitment to supporting families in Cambodia.
