The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 300 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 10 nationalities and includes 6 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training.
The lnstitut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is recruiting a full-time Nurse for the Kampong Cham Rabies Prevention Center based in Kampong Cham Province. The 12-month contract is initially offered (renewable).

Position Overview:
Nurse is one of the essential components for the healthcare system, with a particular focus on the service delivery with well-defined healthcare procedures, emphasizing the importance of regulatory compliance, ethical standards, and adherence to professional nursing practices. The nurse at the Phnom Penh Rabies Prevention Center plays a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of rabies post-exposure prophylaxis for the patients.
Recruitment conditions:
- Language: English and/or French in addition to Khmer
- Position: Full-time.
- Contract: The initial contract is offered for 1 year (renewable).

Main responsibilities:
- Ensuring the well-functioning of the Rabies Prevention Center’s day-to-day activities according to the leadership of the head of the Vaccination service.
- Performing client registration in the Laboratory Information System, including collecting and handling the bills
- Performing vaccinations for clients
- Assisting medical doctors in different activities of the Phnom Penh Rabies Prevention Center
- Managing the cold chain for the storage of vaccines and immunoglobulins
- Managing the animal specimens (specimen reception, preparation, shipment)
- Ensuring the necessary opening of the center during certain public holidays for the benefit of patients
- Respecting the working schedule and IPC internal rules. The total weekly working time is set at 37.5 hours, under IPC regulations, with work schedules distributed over six days (Monday to Saturday).
Candidate Profile:
- Experienced in performing vaccinations
- Willing to work in immunization practice
- Good at customer service
- Good teamwork
- Meticulous, autonomous
- Proficiency in Khmer, English and/or French
- Newly graduated are also encouraged to apply
