Which woman scientist or non-scientist inspires you the most, and why?
The woman scientist who inspires me the most is a lecturer from the University because she is committed to a life-long learning, never get tired of getting new knowledge and new trainings, overcome all the challenges as a woman in science. Her strength inspires me deeply into this field.
What first motivated you to pursue a career in science (or your current field)?
My passion since I was at high school to help people. Even though I am not a doctor who directly helps the patient, I am always proud and happy to be in a support team contributing to science, especially public health research.
What advice would you give to a young woman who wants to pursue a career in science today?
No matter who you are and where you come from, success comes from you. So, believe in yourself, go for it, and do your best.
Have you faced specific challenges as a woman in science? Have there also been strengths or advantages linked to being a woman in your field?
Of course, choosing a career in science as a woman always get a question regarding to the competency. But this does not stop me from pursuing my dream. Instead, it gives me strengths and opportunities to leverage my knowledge, overcome challenges with strength, get new experience, and express my ideas as one of the voices contributing to science.
How do you try to inspire or support other women around you, especially younger generations?
Pursuing my path in science, keep my hard work, and do my best to set as example to the women around me especially younger generations out there.
