IPC Hosts WaSPP Consortium Meetings and Trainings to Advance Wastewater Surveillance in the Kingdom
The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge was pleased to welcome partners and participants from Imperial College London (United Kingdom), Universiti Malaya (Malaysia), Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia), Biosurv International, and Asia-PGI from March 20 to 27 as part of a series of WASPP in-person events.
Wastewater Surveillance for Pandemic Prevention (WaSPP) focuses on the detection of pathogens with pandemic potential in urban wastewater, as an early warning of human adaptation and transmission.
During this week, researchers, laboratory experts and technical teams worked closely together through discussions, technical trainings and shared activities. These exchanges helped partners refine methods, share experiences and strengthen collaboration in wastewater surveillance for public health. This visit also helped build stronger connections between institutions and support joint efforts to improve early detection of health risks.
