The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 300 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 22 nationalities and includes 6 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training.
The lnstitut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is recruiting for two Laboratory Technicians for the Medical and Veterinary Entomology Unit. The 12-month contract is initially offered, there will certainly be a possibility to extend the contract duration for the more motivated technician.

Position Overview |
The Medical and Veterinary Entomology Unit is a highly dynamic team with numerous scientific projects underway. We are currently seeking two Laboratory Technicians to join our team.
We are looking for two motivated laboratory technicians to engage in research projects of Medical and Veterinary Entomology related to One Health, health ecology, geographical modeling, anthropization, vector competence, and population genetics. These positions are tied to a specific research project, and all necessary resources will be provided to enable the technicians to focus on their work as quickly as possible.

- Language: Bilingual English (good skills) – Khmer
- Position: Full-time.
- Contract: The initial contract is offered for 1 year (renewable).
- Start Date: November 1st, 2025.

Main responsibilities: |
- Field work collection
- Insectarium management
- Databasing
- Mosquito identification and dissection
- Microscopy
- Application of Standard Operating Procedures
- Stock management and laboratory supplies orders
Candidate Profile: |
- Education: Technical diploma or certificate from institute or university of Veterinary Entomology, Systematics, Ecology, Pathogen discovery, Genetics or related fields (Freshly graduated accepted).
- Experience: Experience with field work collection and Microscopy is a plus.
- Curious, Motivated, Rigorous, Meticulous, Organized
- Basic knowledge of laboratory skills
- Basic computer knowledge to manage a database
- Basic knowledge in entomology is a plus but not a necessity as training will be provided
