Insects: The Art of Detail
An exhibition in partnership with the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge and the French Embassy

What if nature harbored a world of tiny creatures—often imperceptible, sometimes dangerous, essential to our survival, yet now under threat?

The exhibition Insects: The Art of Detail unveils this fascinating yet fragile biodiversity through a striking series of photographs taken by the Medical and Veterinary Entomology Unit of the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge, in collaboration with the French Embassy in Cambodia.

Thanks to innovative photographic techniques developed by French inventor Nathanaël Maury, researchers are able to capture subjects as small as mosquito eggs in ultra-high resolution. These images reveal extraordinary details, crucial for identifying species and understanding their role in ecosystems. At the intersection of art and science, they also open new perspectives for entomology, the study of insects.

Insects represent 85% of all known animal species, yet millions remain unidentified—particularly in regions like Cambodia and Laos, where biodiversity is still poorly documented. Threatened by pollution, climate change, and overexploitation of natural resources, this hidden heritage risks disappearing before it can even be discovered.

This exhibition not only highlights the beauty of an overlooked natural world but also raises awareness of the urgent need to protect it.

តើធម្មជាតិមានពិភពដែលពោរពេញទៅដោយសត្វល្អិតតូចៗ ដែលភាគច្រើនមិនអាចមើលឃើញបាន មួយចំនួនមានគ្រោះថ្នាក់ ខ្លះទៀតមានសារៈសំខាន់សម្រាប់ជីវិត ប៉ុន្តែបច្ចុប្បន្នកំពុងប្រឈមនឹងការគំរាមកំហែង ឬទេ?

ការតាំងពិព័រណ៍ «សត្វល្អិត៖ សិល្បៈនៃភាពលម្អិត» នឹងបង្ហាញជីវចម្រុះដ៏អស្ចារ្យ និងងាយរងគ្រោះនេះ តាមរយៈរូបថតដែលបានបង្កើតឡើងដោយផ្នែកវេជ្ជសាស្ត្រ និងពិសោធន៍បាណកសាស្ត្រ នៃ វិទ្យាស្ថានប៉ាស្ទ័រកម្ពុជា ជាមួយនឹងការសហការពី ស្ថានទូតបារាំងនៅកម្ពុជា។

ដោយប្រើបច្ចេកទេសថតរូបដ៏ច្នៃប្រឌិត ដែលបង្កើតឡើងដោយអ្នកបារាំង លោក Nathanaël Maury, អ្នកស្រាវជ្រាវអាចថតបានសត្វល្អិតតូចខ្លាំង ដូចជាពងមូស ក្នុងគុណភាពខ្ពស់បំផុត។ រូបភាពទាំងនេះបង្ហាញព័ត៌មានលម្អិតសំខាន់ៗសម្រាប់កំណត់អត្តសញ្ញាណប្រភេទ និងយល់អំពីតួនាទីរបស់វាក្នុងបរិស្ថាន។ នៅចំណុចប្រសព្វរវាងសិល្បៈ និងវិទ្យាសាស្ត្រ រូបភាពទាំងនេះក៏បើកឱកាសថ្មីសម្រាប់វិស័យ បាណកសាស្ត្រ (ការសិក្សាអំពីសត្វល្អិត) ផងដែរ។

សត្វល្អិតប្រហែល ៨៥% នៃប្រភេទសត្វទាំងអស់ ត្រូវបានកំណត់អត្តសញ្ញាណ ប៉ុន្តែមានរាប់លានប្រភេទទៀតនៅមិនទាន់ត្រូវបានស្គាល់ ជាពិសេសនៅកម្ពុជា និងឡាវ។ ការបំពុល ការប្រែប្រួលអាកាសធាតុ និងការប្រើប្រាស់ធនធានហួសហេតុ កំពុងគំរាមកំហែងនឹងលុបបំបាត់មរតកធម្មជាតិនេះ មុនពេលដែលវាត្រូវបានរកឃើញផងដែរ។

ការតាំងពិព័រណ៍នេះ គឺជាវេទិកាដែលបង្ហាញសិល្បៈនៃធម្មជាតិ និងផ្ដល់អាទិភាពដល់ការយល់ដឹងអំពីហានិភ័យបរិស្ថាន។
